ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

OMF International was founded in 1865 by Hudson Taylor under the name China Inland Mission. Currently OMF sends missionaries out from 33 different countries in order to reach SE Asia for Christ. They serve the church and bring the gospel to many of the countries in East Asia, and they have a pioneering ministry in the rest. They help place Christians with professional skills in China and other Asian countries, and share the love of Christ with East Asians worldwide. OMF’s mission is to Glorify God by the urgent evangelization of East Asia's Millions.

MISSIONARIES' BIO

The Wrights are graduates from Multnomah University with BS degrees in Bible and theology. Mr. Wright also minored in music and Mrs. Wright second majored in TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages). These skills are very helpful in the country where they are heading. Both, having spent time in SE Asia, have a big heart to see Buddhist peoples come to know the Lord. Now they are joined in this vision, for this specific country the Lord has laid on their hearts.

They have spent time seeking an organization that coincides with their values (to see faithful indigenous Christ followers), so the organization would be a support to them as they go. After prayer and research they decided upon OMF International and were accepted in June 2011. Their sons will also offer opportunities for reaching the culture, allowing them to more effectively reach other families and by keeping them humble as they seek to raise their sons.
