ADVENT SONG (CHRIST HAS COME)

Verse 1

Let us rejoice
Join the angels’ song
Altogether come
See what God has done

Verse 2

Light of the World
In a manger laid
He has come to save
On this Christmas Day

Chorus

Hope for the nations
Savior of love
Peace for the broken
Joy from above
Emmanuel, God with us
Let us rejoice
For Christ has come

Verse 3

Lift up you head
For redemption rings
See the Prince of Peace
Come to set us free
So with joy we sing

Bridge

Glory to God in the highest
Forever Jesus reigns
Glory to God in the highest
Forever Jesus reigns
(Now and forever Jesus reigns)

GOD REST YE MERRY GENTLEMEN

(Kids only sing the parts in parentheses)

Verse 1

God rest you merry gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
Remember Christ our Savior
Was born on Christmas Day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray

O tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Chorus

(Fear not for we bring
good news of great joy
Hallelujah!
Fear not for we bring

good news of great joy
Hallelujah!)

Verse 2

From God our heavenly Father
A blessed angel came
And unto certain shepherds
Brought tidings of the same
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name

O tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

(Repeat Chorus)

Verse 3

Now to the Lord sing praises
All you within this place
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace
This holy tide of Christmas
All other doth deface

(O tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy)

(Repeat Chorus 2x)
